Confined space training programs are essential because confined and permit-required confined spaces present unique, high-risk hazards that are not encountered in open environments. These hazards include limited access and egress, oxygen-deficient or toxic atmospheres, engulfment risks, mechanical and electrical dangers, and restricted visibility and movement. Without specialized training, responders and workers face a significantly increased risk of injury or fatality.
Proper confined space training equips personnel with the knowledge and skills to identify hazards, conduct atmospheric monitoring, implement ventilation and lockout/tagout procedures, and perform safe entry and rescue operations in compliance with applicable regulations and standards. These programs reduce operational risk, ensure regulatory compliance, improve team coordination, and ultimately protect both responders and the individuals they are tasked with rescuing. If the courses below do not fit you or your agency's needs, give us a call in our office: (800) 718-1597
We run these courses in various states once a month throughout the calendar year.
This course introduces participants to the hazards and risks associated with confined and permit-required confined spaces. The course focuses on hazard recognition, basic terminology, regulatory requirements, and the roles and responsibilities of awareness-level personnel.
This 2 day course prepares personnel to safely perform defensive and support functions at confined space incidents. The course covers hazard assessment, atmospheric monitoring, ventilation, scene control, non-entry rescue support, and coordination with entry teams, in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
The Confined Space Technician Course is designed for personnel responsible for performing entry and rescue operations in permit-required confined space environments. This course provides advanced instruction in hazard control, atmospheric monitoring, ventilation, access and egress systems, patient packaging, and technical rescue techniques.
If your agency would like to host a course at your location, please call our office at (800) 718-1597 Groups rates are offered if you have 12 or more participants.
