We offer 4 levels of swiftwater and floodwater rescue training. All of our training is NFPA compliant, NRRI/DHS approved and NPS compliant. You must start at level 1 or show an equivalent certification or course completion certificate. CPR, FEMA IS-100 and FEMA IS-700 are required prerequisites for all courses.
This is an 8 hour sit-down course and can be completed in online zoom sessions or in-person at either your facility or ours. This course covers the basics of a swiftwater evironment with a focus on flooding conditions or situtations.
With the growing need for flood and swiftwater rescues, this is the next step to establishing a swiftwater rescue team in your area. During this 2 day (16 hour) course you will learn all of the fundamentals on how a rescue is performed in a swiftwater environment, how rescues are conducted in floodwater zones, and how to assist a swiftwater rescue technician or unit in a rescue.
During this 2 day (16 hour) course you'll learn all of the essential skills needed to perform a rescue of a single or multiple subjects in a swiftwater (moving water) environment. Swiftwater is generally classified as performing rescues in a whitewater river setting, but these skills cover other types of situations like high volume Class II rivers, flood waters, etc. Additional prerequisite for this course is HAZMAT Awareness.
This course is 2.5 days (20 hours). This course is for currently certified Swiftwater Rescue Technicians who have 200+ call logs. This course covers management of a swiftwater or floodwater incident/scene, where multiple agencies or units are operating. Additional prerequisites for this course are FEMA IS-200 and a state level EMR.
This course is for individuals interested in becoming a rescue swimmer in their responding area. This is a specific skillset. Having a deployable rescue swimmer expedites any water related incident. Rescue swimmers can be deployed from a boat, helicopter, and have capabilities outside of your SWR personnel. This course is US Coast Guard compliant and instructed by current or former USCG ASTs.
These courses cover training and operating procedures in a Class III to Class V environments. Each of these courses are entry level with the exception of the Winter Mountain Rescue Technician.
During this 8 hour virtual or in-person classroom based course you'll learn what's involved and how a mountain rescue incident is facilitated. From inter-agency response to complex system demonstrations, this course covers all of the hows and whys to a mountain rescue incident.

During this 2 day (16 hour) course you'll learn how to operate with, or alongside, an MR unit. We'll cover patient/subject access, stabilization, and extraction methods for a single or 2 person responding team. This course format is 2 days of field work.

During this 3 day (24 hour course,you'll learn the equipment, systems, applications, and procedures on running an efficient MR incident in any environment. This course covers systems and procedures for Class III to V terrain. The format of this course is 2 evening zoom sessions with 2 days of field work.

During this 3 day (24 hour) course you'll learn the equipment, systems, applications, and procedures on running an efficient MR incident in a permanent snow-covered, non-permanent snow-covered, glaciated or ice covered environment. This course is only run from December 27 until March 31st.

Wilderness medicine is defined as, "Emergencies that are 1 to 2 hours from definitive care in a wilderness environment". Prerequisite minimums for all levels are 18 years of age or older and current CPR certification.
During this 2 day (16 hour) course you'll learn the basics of responding to emergencies in a wilderness environment on low angle terrain.
This 80 hour hybrid course consists of 40 hours in-person training and 40 hours of online/virtual training. The virtual training can be completed on your own time. The WFR course covers long term patient care and management, remote patient packaging and extraction, basic roping methods for litter travels, airway management and much more!
This 40 hour course covers in-depth knowledge on responding to incidents in a wilerenss environment. You will learn patient assessment, basic patient stabilization, patient packaging, and much more!
You MUST hold a current state or National EMT certification to take this course. This a 5 day (40 hours) module covering various topics like long term patient care & management, remote extractions, high altitude, and remote illnesses and much more!
These courses are for responders operating in or responding to incidents in a canyon or riverine environment. These rescue courses cover access, stabilization, patient packaging and extraction of a subject from a canyon or high angle, riverine environment. We recommend you acquire an FCC GMRS or HAM radio operators license before enrolling in these courses.
This 3 day (24 hour) training program is for guides or responders responding to incidents in canyons of any classification. This course consists of 1 day of classroom and 2 days of field training.

This certification is for responders who possess all of the below prerequisites and credentials. The following certifications are for specialized fields, disciplines, or industires.
During this 2 day (16 hour) course you'll learn all of the methods of tracking subjects in various environments on varying terrain. A basic knowledge of tracking animals and humans in a wilderness environment is recommended.
This training program is for arborists, rope access technicians, aerial boom lift operators, and "work at height" personnel. This course covers rescues in these environments and is industry specific to rope access, arboriculture, construction, etc. Course cost depends upon industry and location.

During this 4 day training program you'll learn how to operate in a tactical setting while on rope for entry, access, egress, and insertion purposes. You will be able to adapt any roping method and apply it to any environment where roping will expedite or meet your mission goals.
During this 2 day (16 hour) course you'll learn various methods of intervention to perform in a tactical medical setting. Learning how to conduct medical care under fire is training that any LEO or military personnel should possess.
