Aerial insertion and extraction techniques provide a rapid and efficient means of reducing mission and rescue timelines. We offer a full range of insertion and extraction capabilities tailored to an agency’s specific mission or response requirements, including short-haul, long-line, helicopter external cargo (HEC), and other specialized methods. When required, rotary-wing aircraft can be provided in support of contract and operational needs.

Historically, this method was developed and employed by the military to deploy personnel and equipment into remote and austere environments. In recent years, FEMA has incorporated these techniques into disaster response operations, recognizing their effectiveness in rapidly delivering critical resources to responders during ongoing incidents.

Numerous states now maintain interagency response teams that integrate National Guard aviation assets into emergency operations. This capability provides an effective means of inserting Swiftwater Rescue Technicians (SWRT) or Rescue Swimmer (ASTs) directly to subjects in water-based environments, significantly reducing response times and enabling rapid access and extraction.
If your agency or department has aviation capabilities, or are looking to add aviation capabilities, our expert staff can customize or develop a program for your agency. Give us a call to email in the office to discuss: (800) 718-1597 or nrrieducation@gmail.com
