Our Senior Instructors are experts in their instructing discipline and hold over a decade of real world field experience. With the experience comes matched credentials. We have minimum standards when it comes to our instructors background. All of our Senior Instructors have worked for us for years or another similar company for years.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in your discipline or a similar field. This must be either full time or high call volume experience.
- Most of our instructors are current or former military. This is not mandatory, but a plus during our hiring process.
- You must hold current certifications in your field of instruction. We credential audit ALL of our applicants. This includes prior military, rescue, law enforcement, etc. background. This is NOT the place to come to with fake credentials or experience.
- You must be at least 28 years of age or older to be a Senior Instructor with our organization.
Our Lead Instructors help our Senior Instructors and/or lead various aspects of the course and/or training program. Just like our Senior Instructors, our Lead Instructors have real world experience.
Hiring criteria:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in your field or discipline
- Must be at least 28 years of age or older
- Must hold current certifications in your field, discipline or industry
Our Basic/Assistant Instructors help our Senior and Lead Instructor with various aspects of the course and/or training program. Just like our Senior Instructors, our Basic Instructors have real world experience.
Hiring criteria:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in your field or discipline
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Must hold current certifications in your field, discipline or industry
We are actively looking to expand our organization and looking to fill several Rescue Swimmer Instructor positions. If you are a former (or current) US Coast Guard AST Helicopter Rescue Swimmer or a US Navy AWR, you qualify to be a lead instructor here. We make exceptions for other agency or department rescue swimmers depending on your call volume and AOR details.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 23 years of age or older
- Must hold a valid CPR certification
- USCG AST or US Navy AIRR/AWR (please call us if you hold an RS from a different agency or department). We do NOT accept civilian based RS certifications for our Instructors
Recommended:
- EMT or EMR is recommended
We are actively looking to expand our organization and looking to fill several K9 Handler Instructor positions.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 28 years of age or older
- Must hold a valid CPR certification
- Must possess real-world SAR experience with and without a K9
- Must be physically fit to perform duties and job requirements

The Executive Director (ED) serves as the senior operational leader of NRRI, responsible for translating the organization’s mission into sustainable programs, partnerships, and revenue. This role oversees daily operations, strategic growth, financial performance, and organizational development while supporting the President’s vision and industry leadership.
The ED ensures NRRI’s training, consulting, and program development services are delivered at the highest professional standard to government agencies, first responders, and operational teams nationwide.

- Experience with budgeting, contracts, and program management (non-military)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
