Our Ice Rescue Programs, like all of our other programs, are instructed by subject matter experts in this discipline. We offer these courses in your AOR as long as the weather and conditions exist to properly host the course. We also offer open-enrollment courses in various locations around the United States. These courses are NFPA compliant (1670 & 1006), but well exceed those standards and follow US Coast Guard standards of operations.

During this 2 day course, students will learn various skills and methods to respond and assist ice rescue personnel on an incident. Scene assessment, equipment, shore based rescues and much more! USCG & NFPA compliant.

During this 2 day course, students will learn how to properly and efficiently perform technical rescues in a surface ice covered environment. Shoreline/riparian rescues up to class IV applications are included in this course. USCG & NFPA compliant.

This 2.5 day course covers advanced mountain rescue techniques for a winter, high angle, ice covered environment/terrain. Technical roping methods are instructed along with remote, winter extractions, deviating ice rescue methods, patient packaging and much more!

This 8 hour course is for the certified and experienced Ice Rescue Technician moving up the ladder into the incident commander position. This course covers discipline specific criteria for running either and urban, front/backcountry or remote based ice rescue incident.

This 4 day course is for the responder or unit that performs ice rescue in remote settings where resources are lacking and distance to definitive care is far off. Arctic survival, remote rope techniques, aerial insertion, ice boat operations, long-term patient cold care and much more!

If your agency or department is interested in hosting a course, the below requirements will help you determine if it is possible. Hosting a course is easier because our instructors come to you.
Requirements:
- A facility to conduct a powerpoint in (we can provide a projector)
- The facility must have bathrooms
- A lake or pond is required for the field portion and must be in close proximity to the facility (20 minute drive or less)
- Open enrollment in recommended, but not a hosting requirement
Hosting a course and allow others to enroll in the course with your members is great for community outreach, community relations, interagency connection and interoperability and much more!
